It lasts years intensely protecting your paint from containments rain acid, bird droppings, tree sap, chemicals and UV, while also containing self-cleaning properties. Ceramic coatings deliver a depth of gloss that is truly unrivaled. Also since our coatings have increased hardness it provides minor scratch protection.
Understanding Car Scratches
Every single car has 3 layers of paint that is attached to every panel.
1. Primer Coat
Think of primer as a shield for the body panel. It’s essential for preventing rust and corrosion, helping the color coat stick, and leveling the surface to create a smooth foundation for paint. If primer isn’t applied correctly, the paint will look wavy instead of smooth. Scratches that reach the primer need to be sanded down, re-primed, and only then can touch-up paint be applied for a proper repair.
2. Color Coat
On top of you primer is the color coat which only adds color to your car, but it adds no protection.. Scratches in the color coat can’t be fixed with polishing alone. Instead, the area must be sanded, repainted with exact color-matched paint, sealed with clear coat, and then polished to restore shine. These are the types of scratches you usually see from keys, shopping carts, or other hard objects.
3. Clear Coat
The clear coat sits on top, acting as a shield for the color coat while giving the car its finish — glossy or matte. This is where 90% of normal wear and tear would be located. Scratches/Damage in glossy clear coat can be corrected out by polishing/compounding . However scratches in matte clear coat can not be fixed properly without refinishing the whole panel.

What is paint correction?
Paint correction is the art of carefully removing extremely thin layers of damaged clear coat to level the surface and restore a smooth, glossy finish. It may sound simple, but in the wrong hands it can actually make the paint worse. In the right hands, it can safely remove imperfections and transform your vehicle’s appearance.
This car was washed, but the paint still looked faded, dull, and stained. After our paint correction, the true color and shine are restored — protected with ceramic coating for long-lasting results.
